Chapter House Counseling Center isn’t a typical entry-level substance abuse outpatient provider. We work with individuals who have been exposed to other forms of treatment such as residential treatment, inpatient treatment, other intensive outpatient providers, and have often had significant exposure to the 12 steps. We go beyond traditional chemical dependency education and provide advanced-level clinical services. We dive into the lives of our clients and challenge their resistance, self-will, relapse history, self-defeating behaviors, and ineffective belief systems. We use peer accountability, 12-step immersion, experiential techniques, and family therapy to work with each client individually. Because of this approach, we work well with individuals who are stuck in sobriety – even though they are sober, they are not happy, they are not thriving, they can’t hold down a job, they have relationship problems, and are potentially at a high risk for relapse. In addition, we work well with individuals who were unsuccessful post-primary treatment and have relapsed.
